I really never liked them. After all they taste like.....plants. Give me meat. I want something that bleeds. I want something that I have to work at when I chew it. C'mon....fight back.
Well those days are gone. But not forgotten. Maybe some day.
In the place of meat, I have discovered beans and yes all the side effects thereof. I've also discovered broccoli, carrots, peppers, cabbage and the dreaded tofu. Tofu isn't bad it you dip it something like barbecue sauce or maybe ice cream. Seriously, veggies aren't bad at all , its all about the prep. I'm actually thinking about canning and preserving this year.
OK I admit it, this year after many years of sitting on my ass I decided to grow a garden in the back yard. The usual stuff tomatoes, broccoli, something called Swiss Chard which I've never had, onions kale, egg plant and so forth. This is all part of my transformation int a new healthier me. Just makes me sick.
I ran into a woman at work today that I hadn't seen in a very long time. She marveled at the new me and was full of complements. I never get tired of the compliments. I get tired of the exercise. I walked today with a co-worker. Nothing drastic just a mile and a half and I sort of enjoyed it. I definitely needed it. The Doc says you can't exercise too much but I suppose you can get bored to death. I usually do 45 minuted of Lifecycle followed by a half hour free weights.
Once a week I take a spin class. That's not boring. Full tilt boogie non stop sweat. Of course being locked in a dark, hot, sweaty room with 20 women wearing nothing but tights and sports bras has a positive effect too.
