The day after I went to my first appointment I decided that I needed to say farewell to food. After all I was my best friend for my whole life. In reality, the reason I waited 7 years was that I couldn't break up with food. Food and I had a relationship and yes, I was and still am in love. I decided that I was going to eat all my favorites, prime rib, burgers, ribs, meatloaf, CHICKEN, everything. Ironic that post surgery I can't seem to be able to tolerate meat.
This brings me to the vegetarian part of my journey. By the way, every journey usually has a destination. My destination is 210 pounds. After I came out of the operating room I felt great ! Really, very little discomfort, nothing that could be called pain. One down side; I couldn't piss. Really didn't bother me at the time but who knew that nurses take that sort of thing so seriously. More on that later. I really wasn't hungry but I already missed the idea of eating. Of course all you can do is sip water and my mouth was dry so I gave it a shot. Naah didn't love it and so I just rolled over and went to sleep. I'm getting to the vegetarian part, honest.
I've never blogged before so this is a little new to me. Maybe this is like other blogs maybe not. It's therapeutic for me , hopefully a little informative and intended to be fun. I have to get to work right now but I'll be back later. In the meantime write something. I wanna hear from you.
